Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Will it be cold?

Yes. While pretty much every building in Lapland is fitted with central heating to help keep out the cold, a number of activities will take place outdoors where temperatures can drop to -5 or even -30°C! Thermal suits are lent out for the duration of your stay, and are covered by your booking fee.

Q. What should I pack/ What should I wear?

Layers! The thermal suits provided to you on arrival are wonderful for traversing the outdoors, however layers you can easily shed are preferable once you’re back inside. So think leggings, hats, scarves, and plenty of spare socks!

Q. Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. If you DO have travel insurance, please contact your insurance provider prior to booking with us to ensure that your contract covers snowmobiling, skiing or any other outdoor activity in Lapland that you may be interested in trying.

If you DO NOT have travel insurance, you may not be able to take part in the activities listed above. We here at Go2Santa can help arrange travel insurance for you. For more information, please contact a member of our staff today for FREE on 1800 814 038

Q. Are meals included?

Yes. The number of meals included depends on the length of your stay, with hot breakfasts, lunches, and dinners available.

Q. What are the chances of seeing the Northern Lights on our trip?

The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, are generally visible in Lapland 150-200 nights a year, from mid-August to April. However, as this magnificent display occurs naturally, it can sometimes defy this schedule, and will not be visible on cloudy nights.

Q. Will Santa have a gift for every child?

Yes! Santa will have a small gift for every child between the ages of 2-11.

Q. How do we get from the airport to our hotel?

Transfers to and from any of the airports in Lapland are included in the cost of all of our Holiday Packages!

Q. Are holidays in Lapland accessible for children with disabilities?

Yes. We here at Go2Santa know how important every aspect of the Lapland experience can be for a child, and together with our suppliers we will do all that we can to ensure that your individual needs are met, without having to sacrifice the best parts of this trip!
